You can now drive Tesla’s Cybertruck in Fortnite, Rocket League

Epic Games is expanding its range of crossovers in a new partnership with Tesla. Starting this week, players can drive the electric car company’s iconic (or notorious, depending on who you ask) Cybertruck in both Fortnite and Rocket League.

In a teaser trailer, Fortnite highlights the Cybertruck’s power … even if its durability IRL is somewhat questionable.

Vehicles were first added to Fortnite in Season 4 (2018). Prior to its deal with Tesla, Epic previously partnered with Ferrari to bring its 296 GTB to the game in 2021.

Likewise, Psyonix and Epic have partnered with numerous brands to bring iconic vehicles to the game. These include car manufacturers like Ford, McLaren and BMW and entertainment properties Jurassic Park, Batman and James Bond. Additionally, the title has partnered with major racing leagues like NASCAR and Formula 1 to promote the competitions to a younger audience.

Many of Rocket League’s partnerships pre-date Epic’s 2019 acquisition of Psyonix.

Epic has not provided details on how much the skins will cost in both Fortnite and Rocket League. Both Cybertruck skins will be available to purchase starting tomorrow, July 23, 2024.

Additionally, Fortnite also teased another upcoming collaboration with apparel brand, Adidas. Like its Cybertruck partnership, this is not the first apparel focused collaboration. Fortnite has previously worked with both high-end designers like Ralph Lauren and sporty brands like Nike.
