Humble Bundle has hit a grand milestone in raising $250 million to date for charitable causes around the world.
That’s a testament to the social consciousness of gamers, who make donations to the charitable causes by buying San Francisco-based Humble Bundle’s game bundles.
The announcement coincides with the release of the Humble 2023 Social Impact Report, showcasing the impressive outcomes of last year’s donations, which totaled over $14.4 million and supported more than 7,500 charities across various sectors.
Established in 2010 by Jeff Rosen and John Graham, Humble Bundle pioneered the game bundle-for-charity model, creating a unique platform that seamlessly integrates giving back into its core business. The company directs a portion of nearly every sale to a range of worthy causes, including its five core social impact focus areas: health and well-being, crisis and disaster relief, equity and inclusion, quality education, and climate change and sustainability.

The Humble 2023 Social Impact Report highlights several key achievements from the previous year.
The Humble community and content partners raised over $5 million to address various global crises, including floods in Libya, earthquakes in Morocco and the Türkiye-Syria region, Maui fires, the humanitarian crisis in Israel and Gaza, and the conflict in Sudan. Humble established a forward-fund initiative with longstanding charity partner Direct Relief, ensuring funds are raised and earmarked before a crisis occurs, allowing for faster deployment.
Humble also directed a significant portion of its total impact funds toward charities focused on helping people survive challenges related to disease, food and water insecurity, mental health issues, and more. Partnerships with organizations like The Global FoodBanking Network, charity: water, Active Minds, Prevent Cancer Foundation, SpecialEffect, The Trevor Project, and others contribute to sustainable solutions promoting global well-being.
And Humble collaborated with charity partners such as Room to Read, Little Free Library, and First Book to bring 36,437 diversity-positive books to schools and libraries. Efforts with the National Coalition Against Censorship and Every Library supported diversity and representation in education.
Humble continued its support for equity and inclusion through initiatives like the Black Game Developer Fund and partnerships with organizations such as Gameheads. To address the lack of access to STEM disciplines for women, Humble focused on charities educating and empowering girls, including Girls Who Code, NPower, and the Girls Make Games Scholarship Fund.
Humble raised over $1 million last year for charities committed to addressing climate change. Collaborations with organizations like One Tree Planted, Coral Guardian, and Cool Effect mobilized the community in support of neutralizing carbon, preserving oceans and aquatic life, and renewing forests.
